Heal Depression with God
Do you feel hopeless struggling with trauma-related depression that isolates and beats you down? Does worthlessness and shame from past trauma sometimes cripple your ability to function? Do you desperately wish you could connect with God and other women to help you heal naturally but don’t know where to start? You are not alone, friend. Welcome to Heal Depression with God. I’m Beth, a cancer-conquering, set-free from-depression daughter of the King, mom of five and grandma, prayer warrior, encourager and loyal friend, who enjoys helping other women find healing from trauma, and whenever I can, likes skipping through fields of wildflowers hiking majestic mountains, and savoring the sunrise. It was not that long ago that I felt alone and isolated, sobbing in deep depression as I battled breast cancer and worked through hurt from childhood trauma. Though I was a Christian at the time, I felt God had left me. The shame and sadness overwhelmed me, to the point where I considered taking my life. It wasn’t until I began spending time with My Heavenly Father and understanding His great love for me by reading the Bible, journaling and spending time in nature that I believed my life had worth and I could heal depression naturally, rising up to a joy-filled life. In this podcast, you will receive a Christ-centered life-line supporting you through your depression journey, with ideas for healing trauma, Biblical encouragement, community and natural living to help you heal naturally and flourish in purpose. If you’re ready to ditch depression, then come out of the pit into the sunshine and stroll with me through mountain meadows, listening to the birds sing, as we journey together toward hope, healing and new beginnings. Come join me on Heal Depression with God, where you will find connection, and healing begins, a new day dawning.

Have you ever dreaded an upcoming medical procedure or faced a traumatic situation, where fear paralyzed you? You are not alone. Anxiety pounded my heart, as I prepped to have my first chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer. Bible Verses/References for depression and healing used in this podcast:
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. KJV
Three Ways Prince of Peace Calms the Chaos
Presence
Power
Prayer
1. Presence
-Rachel Wojo, Desperate Prayers, Embracing the Power of Prayer in Life’s Darkest Moments, “When we can’t see a solution is on its way, our minds spin with confusion. We plead with God, where’s my miracle?” We cry out, pleading for answers to our pain. “Amid the words and groans of anguish, I discovered that frenzied desperation could be transformed into dependent faith.”
-Isaiah 41;10: So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
2. Power
-Storm in Bible Mark 4: 35-41
-Quote by Leslie Gould, “Sometimes God calms the storm, but sometimes God lets the storm rage and calms His child.” https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/407329
-John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. NIV
3. Prayer
-Jesus prays for us: John 17: 9, 11 I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours… Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one.
-Holy Spirit Intercedes for us, when we don’t know how to pray Romans 8:26,27
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
Steps for Healing with the Prince of Peace:
Come to Him with Anxiety and Fear. Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Allow him to minister to You. He is your peace. Philippians 4:7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus
Trust Him, to help you and calm you through storms and trauma of Life.

Have you ever felt anxiety or shame from childhood trauma? Or feared God like He was a judge who would strike you down if you messed up? After the abuse occurred with a neighbor when I was five, I felt ashamed, as I reverted to wetting my bed. I became withdrawn. It’s taken me decades to understand that God is more like a dad, a Father who loves me. He calls me beloved. And He calls you beloved, too. He loves you unconditionally, embracing you with grace and helping to heal trauma.
